Job Description

Working closely with Midland Metro Alliance, Larsen Streetscape paving mortars have been used on this Birmingham Eastside Extension project. The extension will service the Eastside regeneration area offering connections with New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill Railway Stations, in addition to the new HS2 station. The Digbeth stretch of the route has also been enhanced with new paving, green infrastructure and landscaped areas as part of Birmingham City Council and the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership’s (GBSLEP) masterplan to regenerate the area.

Job Details

Larsen Streetscape paving mortar system is a collection of high-performance mortars for the construction of pavements. The preferred option for laying paving, the products are specifically formulated to exceed performance characteristics, as set out in BS 7533.

Products used:

FBC Eco Fine Bedding Concrete
• Ideal for pavements constructed with natural stone, concrete & clay paving units.

PS Eco Priming Slurry
• Applied to the underside of all paving units to create an exceptional bond to FBC Eco Fine Bedding Concrete.

FJM Eco Flowable Jointing Mortar (Westminster Grey)
• Filled the joints to complete the installation. Rapid setting with high early strength gain, FJM Eco can be opened to foot traffic in one hour.
